Mélanie Hould, MD, CFPC

Medical Director
Dr. Mélanie Hould is a graduate of the Université de Montréal Faculty of Medicine. She completed her residency in general medicine at the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal, and for over 10 years, Dr. Hould worked in primary care, both in a general practice clinic and as a hospitalist at the Hawkesbury General Hospital in Ontario.
Phlebology
In addition to her general practice, Dr. Hould spent years developing an expertise in venous insufficiency. She specializes in non-surgical approaches to the treatment of chronic venous disease, namely visual sclerotherapy and ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy for advanced venous disease. In 2023, she was recognized as a Fellow of the Canadian Society of Phlebology and designated as a trainer by the Collège des médecins du Québec for physicians who wish to practice phlebology.
Aesthetic Medicine and Skin Care
For the past 10 years, Dr. Hould has also delivered aesthetic medicine treatments in the form of injectables and evaluations in primary dermatology with a particular interest in the physical and emotional impacts of acne. She has completed local and advanced international training in injectables and facial rejuvenation treatments and is currently completing a Diploma of Professional Competency in Dermatology offered by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Dr. Hould promotes a natural approach to aesthetic medicine with a focus on the overall well-being of her patients.
Approach
Dr. Hould is known for her professionalism, attention to detail and human approach. She values listening and education, thus allowing her patients to be involved in their care. Dr. Hould believes that wellness comes from a balanced lifestyle and her interventions as a physician are guided by this principle.
Dr. Mélanie Hould is a member of the Collège des médecins du Québec, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the College of Family Physicians of Canada, the Ontario Medical Association, the Canadian Society of Phlebology, and the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine.
When not working, Dr. Hould enjoys spending time with her family. She is an avid downhill skier, hiker and runner, and loves travelling.
