Micro-needling stimulates skin collagen and elastin production by creating tiny superficial lesions using fine needles. The skin quickly repairs itself in a way that softens fine lines, reduces wrinkles and scars, and improves overall skin texture. Our clinic uses the MicroPen EVO, a state-of-the-art automated micro-needling device approved by Health Canada.
Depending on the desired results and the suggested treatment plan, our clinic offers micro-needling with NCTF® BOOST 135 HA serum or with platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
NCTF® BOOST 135 HA is a unique revitalizing and anti-aging complex that nourishes the epidermis with the components it needs to stay healthy. It contains 59 active components, namely amino acids, vitamins, minerals, coenzymes, nucleic acids and antioxidant. These active components make it possible to create an optimal environment to stimulate the activity of fibroblasts which are the cells responsible to produce collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. It thus allows a uniformity of the complexion, a reduction of the volume of the pores, a reduction of the wrinkles and fine lines as well as a better firmness and hydration of the skin.
Micro-needling is used to counter the effects of normal skin aging and photoaging:
Micro-needling is a safe procedure that requires little recovery time. Treatments last between 30 and 60 minutes, there are few side effects other than temporary redness in the treatment area, there is very low risk of hyperpigmentation and scarring, and patients can return quickly to regular activities.
*** Please note that patients who have taken Accutane must have finished their treatment for a period of at least 6 months before doing micro-needling treatment and PRP.
Micro-needling is a minimally invasive procedure that is safe for almost all skin types. However, we do not recommend this treatment for the following patients:

Educating and listening to our patients are among our highest priorities.
